Gabrielle Martin, in collaboration with Jeunesses Musicales Canada's Edmundston JMC Chapter, presents a concert of lyrical vocal and instrumental music. Entitled "Resilience & bel canto," this concert will feature Gabrielle Martin (mezzo-soprano), Nicholas Roy (pianist) and the MadVic ensemble composed of Marc-André Gautier (violinist), Éliezer Rangel (violist) and Sébastien Sirois (double bass). The profits from ticket sales will be used to create the "Resilience Gabrielle Martin" scholarships. By awarding these scholarships, Gabrielle, who is dealing with a chronic illness, wishes to contribute to her community and share her passion by financially supporting young musicians from the region who wish to pursue studies in music. Join us for a melodious evening of Schubert, Fauré, Gluck and Chopin followed by a reception. In addition, the bar will be open to allow people to purchase beverages.
This project is financed by the subvention "Au service de ma communauté," offered by Place aux compétences, and made possible with the generous support of the Centre des arts La petite église d'Edmundston.
